It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone. #JohnSteinbeck #TheWinterofOurDiscontent
Our nightly dream worlds, like our daily travels, also mirror and reflect the #omen told by the current and forthcoming #astrology Last night, I woke from a beast of a #dream In it, an adult sized #ostrich which was completely white, chased and attacked me. It kept stabbing at my eyes and it wasn’t pleasant.
I am a #dreamer and easily recall 5-10 #dreams a night, which I’ve journaled since 1995. I have no #memory of an ostrich dream before, so I of course had to look into the #symbolism of it. As it turns out, the #story aligns with the upcoming #lunareclipse in #gemini
An ostrich is widely known by its hallmark of putting its head in the ground (avoidance, hiding, not facing a truth) but also, the ostrich is connected to the Egyptian’s life and death rituals and relates to the primary essence of truth, dignity, honor and the value of one’s heart and #spirit . The ostrich has been regarded much like the #phoenix as in some cultures, it was thought a new bird would form from a pile of gathered feathers.
With all these storied symbolisms, combined with the dream-event of a white ostrich attacking me and pecking at my eyes, I can only forsee this relating to the upcoming lunar eclipse.
A lunar eclipse (LE) occurs at what should be a full moon, but at the moment of perfection, instead the Moon is removed from our sight. We abruptly lose our connection the great #mother and our source of spirit. LE’s often tend to evoke emotional hardship and challenge. Our creature comfort is ripped from our grasp and we have to face the monster under the bed. The Moon is also associated with the colors white and silver.
I see my dream signaling that something I’ve been ignoring and hiding from is about to make itself known. Something that is likely to be a painful “sight” but that I can’t run from it any longer. I suspect the experience to be a daunting one, but like the Phoenix, I have the opportunity to rise again.
