The Starry sky forecasts for each of us, our tendencies to experience certain people, situations, energies.
A full moon is –
A #fullmoon tells us the #storyline of something that was #dark becoming #illuminated – the dark made #light. Things unknown becoming known. The #subconscious being made #conscious. A result, a culmination as the Moon no longer hungers for light. She is full at this #lunation as she stands in exact opposition to the #sun – imparting a message of relationships, balance, Spirit and Matter, Mind and Body. The #planets in astrology typically inform us of people, places, things (nouns) that we experience. Much like the dynamic relationship we observe between the Sun and Moon, often other planets join in the monthly lunation cycle and impart to us the tendency for other people, places, things to also show up in our journey at that time as well.
Each month the moon becomes full in a different #zodiac sign. The signs describe for us the background, the setting in the storyline. Generally, in #astrology each sign rules over one of twelve houses in each of our charts, each house representing one of twelve main areas of the life experience. Each Zodiac sign can be thought of as an adjective describing the types of people, situations and energies one is likely to encounter in each House in their chart. We are not only our #sunsign. We each have all twelve of the Zodiac signs in our chart, ruling over some area in our life’s journey. As the lunar cycle moves through each of the houses in our charts we can see a little bit further down the road, where new experiences will begin and where results or efforts will culminate.
This full moon – I N T E N S E
#july 9th, shortly after midnight EST the next Full Moon will exact at 18 degrees of #capricorn as the Sun stands in opposition at 18 degrees of #cancer . Additionally, the Moon will be conjunct (very close to) #pluto in Capricorn and the Sun will be conjunct #mars in Cancer while at the same time, Mars and #saturn will be at an #inconjunct (150 degrees) from his placement in Cancer to Saturn’s in #sagittarius .
The Moon (our emotion, Spirit, mood) will perfect her fullness in Capricorn – the sign of her detriment. The Moon’s natal home is Cancer – the polarity (opposite) to Capricorn. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn – the land where Mars is exalted is an unnatural place for the Moon and as a result she cannot express her #vibe as she would prefer. In Capricorn – the land of #hardwork #dedication and #justdoit , the Moon finds difficulty expressing her changeable nature and emotion.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon, so what happens to the Moon happens to Cancer and any planets contained therein. As a result, the Moon – in her detrimented condition is now ruling over the Sun and Mars, who are currently in her watery homeland of Cancer. The Moon’s condition carries over to the planets there. Further, Mars is in his fall in Cancer. In the watery seas of the #crab , Mars cannot productively assert himself, get traction and channel his aggressive tendencies. Complicating this condition, Mars is now ruled over by a Moon who is full in a sign that she does not want to be in, the sign where he know he would do a much better job as he is exalted in Capricorn. Further complicating this Mars is that he is too close to the Sun and also feeling a bit fried for the time being. This same Mars inconjuncts Saturn, the planet of restriction, loss, authority, rules and structure. Mars is go, Saturn is stop and the two, at this full moon will awkwardly meet and dance a dance of tug of war that will create the need for uncomfortable adjustments.
The Moon becomes illuminated and immediately after, conjuncts Pluto the planet of power, anything hidden, destruction, control, buried.
As we follow the symbolism of this Full Moon, we see an uncomfortable Moon that will run a gauntlet through her fullness. She will Lord over the Sun and Mars, who she sees in her homeland – engaged in an expression of control and aggression and she will need to face the depths of Pluto as soon as she becomes illuminated.
What does this mean for me –
For all of us, this energy is playing out in our charts somewhere – where specifically depends on the construct of your natal chart. However, even without knowing that – we can see the main driving theme in the planets and signs highlighted at the Full Moon. For all of us, Capricorn reflects to us the story of success, hard work, material gains and our careers while Cancer is all about our home, family, those we came from, our past and our Mom. The primary focus is in this area of our life. As described above, we will tend to experience the planets involved as people involved during this lunation cycle that began on 6/23/17 at 2 degree Cancer. We will tend to experience uncomfortable feelings in relationships with authority figures (Sun), encounter archetypal male energy (Mars) that is feeling trapped, caged, can’t break free and can’t get his #mojo going and come to a harsh truth, realize something that wasn’t seen before – a dark depth is reached (Pluto).
…Capricorn and Cancer are Cardinal signs – they “start” or initiate things…
The next Full Moon (8/15) will bring in the Lunar Eclipse at 15-16 Aquarius/Leo, followed by the New Moon which is the Solar Eclipse at 28-29 Leo.
