Spirit’s voice

My first was at age 15. It was the night before my Grama passed away. I was down in the barn by myself and thought I heard my Mom yell, “Elizabeth, come here.” I followed the direction of the voice and didn’t see my Mom. It was dark, probably about 9pm.

I looked around the side of the barn again and heard, “Elizabeth, over here.” I went out again and nothing. I yelled for my Mom and no reply.

It was weird and I was freaked out.

A few mins later, I heard the horses running up the field from the bottom pasture. My Mom was back there following them up.

When she got up to the barn, I asked her if she was calling me? She said no, she didn’t even know I was home (I had a soccer game that night).

It was so unnerving knowing that voice was so close and so familiar.

A few hours later, my Grama, my Mom’s mom passed away. We didn’t know she was ill or having difficulty. Afterwards, thinking on it, my Mom and I were certain it was my Grama that called my name and that made it all a bit more bearable.
